A Father Completed

I wish you a wonderful Father’s Day today!
If you’re enjoying a strong relationship with your children, treasure it and thank God for that gift.

If your earthly father has passed away, is estranged, or has abandoned you, please take confidence and certainty in this: we have a Father God who loves us and, through our Lord Jesus Christ, will not abandon us when we turn to Him.
If you feel you have failed as a father, turn to the image above. God can complete you and help you to be the father you, in turn, want to be.
I have not always been the father that I wanted to be. I made mistakes and wrong decisions that hurt my family. In the past, this filled me with regret and condemnation and had me stuck; now I concentrate on being forgiven, on letting my Heavenly Father complete me, and on finishing strong.
I have four wonderful sons, each a gift from God. Nothing delights me more than to be in their company. My past doesn’t define me or my relationships with my sons. In fact, they are part of my legacy.
Slainte.
